Bought this for my son as I gave him my old PSP. Original one sent was defective but after speaking with the seller they sent me a replacement right away. So far new one works well and holds charges, although battery did feel "fatter" upon receiving it and fit a lil snug behind the cover but it works great. I'd definitely recommend it as I came back to modify my review based off 1 weeks usage. Worth 5 🌟!

Works in my Sony PSP 3001
Ok, so I just purchased this battery for my PSP 3001 (today is 11/13/2018). I ordered it on 11-11-2018, so needless to say, shipping was fast. The battery fits perfectly in the battery bay of the 3001, but it is a bit more snug due to the bit longer tab on the bottom of the battery. I have highlighted this tab in red in one of my pictures, but trust me, as shown by the pictures, it does fit and the battery cover does close perfectly with the battery in place. You may however need to use a small screwdriver or knife to gently pry out the battery. I am giving this battery a 5-star rating for now, due to the fact that shipping was fast, it fits my PSP as it should, and there was a charge on the battery when it arrived to power my PSP. The rating may change later if I find any negative points later on. I apologize for any blurry pics but I think they do the job of showing that the battery fits and the battery cover closes as it should. It also shows what it looks like in comparison to the original Sony PSP battery. (I have my PSP wrapped with a Star Wars skin). It did come with a little charge, so it was able to power my PSP 3001. Obviously, since I just got it today, I am not sure how long a full charge will last. Not promising anything, but maybe I will remember to report back on the battery life. Hope this review helps in removing any doubt about if this battery fits in a 3001 PSP.
